In this role you will develop, implement, and oversee the recruiting plans of our front-line team members by carrying out the day-to-today hiring and on-boarding of new employees. In addition, the Recruiting & HR Specialist is responsible for employee development, motivation, accountability, and corrective action programs.

Responsibilities
- Determine staffing requirements and assist in developing the annual recruiting plan; ensure proper staffing levels are met in order to achieve business goals.
- Manage/maintain candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Develop and create new recruiting content and assist in planning and executing grassroots efforts.
- Process employment applications, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, and sending rejection/offer letters to candidates
- Complete background checks and employment verification
- Coach, motivate, and develop employees, lead by example in performance, attitude, attendance, and work ethics.
- Continually maintain and update existing employee files for deficiencies.
- Responsible for employee accountability and corrective action programs; conduct regular performance reviews for movers and drivers
- Conduct exit interviews and track employee turnover
- Oversee all unemployment claims and process employee time-off requests
- Assist with daily dispatch of movers and drivers as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements

- Education: associate degree or 2 years of experience in recruiting and retention practices, staffing, HR, or in a related field preferred
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Mathematical skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, using whole numbers and decimals
- Accurate; consistent attention to detail
- Strong team player who works productively with a wide variety of personalities.
- Excellent communication skills (written & oral)
