-Required Degree: Mechanical Engineering (BS or MS)
-Preference will be given to candidates with years of experience per below
First priority:2-5yrs experience
Second priority:0-2yrs (including recent college graduates)
Third priority:6-10 yrs experience (these candidates really need to fit a lot of criteria below and will be considered if we can’t find less experience candidates)
Fourth priority: 11 years + (These are harder to fit into our larger group now, but special candidates with great semiconductor experience will be considered)
General Job Description
Long term contractor position with potential for full time conversion for a Mechanical Engineer in this company. Candidate will be responsible for design, testing and documentation of complex high precision semiconductor etch capital equipment.
Mechanical engineers in our group design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging. They conduct feasibility studies and perform tests on new and modified designs. They direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. They provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.

- Semiconductor experience
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Organized with good problem solving abilities
- Effective communicator with the desire to understand all aspects of a problem and the ability to dig deep into details of a problem.
- Good presentation skills, ability to explain design details to coworkers of varying backgrounds
- Strong CAD modeling abilities (NX, Pro E, Solidworks experience all fine). Company uses NX so this is a plus
- Strong technical skills
- Understanding of material properties and machining rules of thumb for aluminum, plastics and brittle materials (Ceramics, quartz, etc.)
- Vacuum environment design experience (O-ring, vacuum fittings, helium leak check)
- Finite Element analysis (Thermal and Structural)
- Understanding of heating and cooling systems
- Tolerance stack analysis
- Reliability testing
- Statistical analysis and data presentation
- Power box design experience is a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
