In this critical role, you will significantly influence our organizational culture. As a new leader, we understand the importance of cultural immersion. Following this immersion, you'll oversee all aspects of the employee experience, including Employee Relations, Benefits Administration, Talent Acquisition, and leading the People & Culture team. Responsibilities:
People & Culture Mentor: Guide and develop your talented People & Culture team, ensuring they excel in upholding company policy compliance and fostering their professional growth.
Onboarding Specialist: Craft seamless onboarding journeys for new hires, creating a welcoming environment that fosters a sense of belonging and sets them up for success from day one.
Employee Relations Expert: Navigate employee relations with a blend of expertise and empathy, building trust and fostering open communication to cultivate a positive work environment.
Talent Acquisition Leader: Recruit, hire, and onboard top diverse talent, ensuring a smooth and positive experience that fosters a sense of belonging.
Policy Champion: Possess a strong understanding of company policies, the Personnel Handbook, and relevant employment laws. Analyze situations to identify potential conflicts and ensure solutions comply with all regulations.
Benefits Administrator: Oversee employee benefits administration, ensuring compliance and effective communication to keep employees informed.
Employee Engagement Strategist: Develop creative ways to keep teams connected, motivated, and feeling valued. Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Offboarding Coordinator: Ensure a smooth and compliant offboarding experience for departing employees.
Qualifications:
A passion for the healthcare industry and its mission. A "Can and Will Do" attitude is a must!
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in a progressive People & Culture (formerly HR) role, with a minimum of 3 years in the healthcare industry.
Demonstrated experience managing complex HR tasks, ensuring company policy and legal compliance.
Experience supervising and mentoring HR staff, fostering their professional development.
Proven track record of success in employee relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and employee engagement initiatives.
Strong understanding of the human element in the workplace, able to approach situations with empathy, confidentiality, tact, and respect.
Independent thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships at all levels.
Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
Work Environment: In our Lanham Office, five (5) days a week.
