The CAD Draftsman is responsible for professionally assembling and publishing design documentation of all types of integrated systems. These elements include but are not limited to line drawings and rack elevations, project detail pages, architectural plan and RCP drawings, and other associated detail drawings.
System Documentation: The CAD Draftsman will be responsible for producing clear documentation using standard methods and software as defined in the Audiovisual Systems design and Coordination documents. At a minimum this will include one line drawings, base/RCP architectural plan view drawings for equipment placement, finalizing design documentation into permanent as-build record drawings and publishing them to non-editable files for electronic delivery.
Conceptual Development: Produce documentation of ideas or mechanical concepts as relayed by other Engineers.
Drawing and Documentation Review: Perform peer-to-peer reviews of completed drawing or documentation.
Advancement: Within this position there are three levels of qualification that can be achieved - presented as a transparent "roadmap". The employee has the opportunity to advance by serving the minimum time at each level, successfully obtaining various certifications and a passing grade for each quarterly review within the period.
Qualifications and Skills:
A. Education
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
B. Certifications
- AVIXA CTS General certification must be held.
C. Software Skills
- Working proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and company software applications required for certifications and specific project tasks.
D. AutoCAD Skills
- A solid working proficiency with AutoCAD (current version), skill set should include (but not limited to) knowledge of layering, understanding of x-references, mastery of basic drawing skills and file manipulation.
