As the Communications Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional leadership to develop communication strategies that bring to life our Company mission, vision, and values. As a content gatekeeper, they drive change management and the success of campaigns and initiatives through effective messaging. The manager will motivate, inspire, and drive key business building behaviors through engagement of our field teams.
As a key retail operations team member, you will be responsible for ensuring successful planning, cross-functional collaboration, deliverables with aggressive timelines and must have a proven record of accomplishment of leading with agility, flexibility, and a customer-centric approach, guaranteeing the successful and efficient launch of WHSmith North America’s new retail stores.

What you’ll be doing:
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
· Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and manage the communication strategy for our field messaging sites. Provide oversight, guidance and training for business partner owned content.
· Business Driver: Establish & govern communication editorial calendar to ensure unique and fresh content is delivered while driving timelines.
· Content Creator: Lead the creation and maintenance of all field communication vehicles, memos, videos, and sites. Crafts clear, engaging, and informative messages for field team, ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
· Measure Results and Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor and measure activities to analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and platforms. Problem solve and implement adjustments, as necessary.
· Spearhead the detailed planning and execution of weekly, monthly, and seasonal store messaging. Collaborate with cross functional partners on messaging. Supports change management efforts by providing communication plans and materials to guide employees through transitions and organizational changes.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal departments and external vendors to facilitate the seamless execution of tactical setup tasks. Ensure effective communication and coordination between teams involved in new store deliveries.
· Communication and Reporting: Communicate progress and updates on tactical execution to senior management. Provide regular reports on key milestones, challenges, and successes related to hands-on tasks.
