General Position Description
Provide clinical therapy sessions, in-home work and crisis intervention services for foster children and their foster families. Assist in building a clinical program for this unique foster care agency.
- Provide individual and family therapy to foster children and their foster families
- Develop treatment plans for clients and maintain timely clinical records
- Work with select families in the home, providing training and therapeutic family activities
- Work with treatment team in weekly staff meetings to provide clinical insight into foster family functioning, and receive updates from treatment team
- Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss caseload
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed as part of an on-call rotation
- Participating in networking and agency promotion from time to time as requested
- Any Sanctuary TBRI Practitioner will work Hope Camp and community TBRI education hours/days on occasional weekends/evenings. Time out of the normal work week for TBRI education/Hope Camp will be reimbursed with earning PTO at time and a half for each hour worked. Must attend 5 out of 10 hope camp days. Hope Camp will be reimbursed with earning PTO at time and a half for each hour worked.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- LMSW, LPC-A or LMFT-A required. New grad is fine.
- Must have flexible work hours to accommodate families’ schedules and some occasional crisis intervention
- Must be open to using TBRI strategies, working with very challenging clients, and using flexible intervention strategies to effect positive changes in the lives of foster care youth
- Passion for foster child population preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to contribute in a collaborative manner with all members of treatment team
- Must be accepted into the program by supervisors and directors to be employed
