Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of Activated Juice. The General Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading our team, nurturing friendly relationships with customers and successfully turning the juice bar into the new local favorite! Experience in a vegan or plant-based cafe, restaurant or chain is preferred.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or in a managerial level role within the hospitality industry; preferably within the vegan, plant-based, juice or coffee restaurants.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and cultivate a team in a fast paced environment.
- Strong conflict resolution and delegation skills.
- Proven ability to drive business growth and profitability.
- Full grasp of front of the house and back of the house service.
- Hiring experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Available to work a flexible full-time schedule including opening hours, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- ServSafe Food Handler Certificate is required.
- Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time and ability to carry at least 20 pounds.
- Participate in weekly meetings and travel to support company growth.
- High school diploma or general education development (GED) equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Managing overall day-to-day operations including the front and back of house operations
- Leading team to meet or exceed customer satisfaction, speed of service, food and beverage standards and targeted sales goals.
- Maintain profitability of the business by managing inventory, food and labor costs and creating detailed weekly and monthly P&L reports.
- Foster an inclusive and upbeat employee experience to promote a culture recognition and continuous learning and development.
- Consistently meet or exceed food compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
- Hire, onboard, train and coach new employees on proper customer service practices and food/drink preparations.
- Organize, schedule and supervise employee shifts in accordance with customer flow labor objectives.
- Maintain vendor, customer, and community relationships.
- Deliver superior customer service and manage all customer complaints with the utmost professionalism and quick resolution to maintain customer satisfaction and relationships.
