Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Operational Support Specialist to join our growing team. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive outstanding service and assistance. You will interact directly with customers, providing solutions, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Your precision and expertise will ensure accurate financial transactions and reporting, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Identify customer needs, clarify information, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Obtain and evaluate relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints efficiently.
- Process orders, forms, applications, and requests accurately.
- Record financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger, customer, and vendor accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Generate financial reports and statements on a regular basis.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents and records.
Qualifications:
- Proven customer support experience or experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks desktop accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP software and implementation, other CRM software, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
