Responsible to provide spiritual support to clients, families, and the hospice staff via phone contact, home visits and referrals to the client/family, local clergy. Assists with memorial services and activities relating to spiritual and religious issues of client, family and team.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's from an accredited school of theology or equivalent, or Master's in Counseling or Master's in Social Work with 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required; Master's in theological studies or equivalent and completion of 2 units of CPE preferred. If affiliated or endorsed by a denomination or faith group must be in good standing, as evidenced by a certificate.
Position Requirements
Experience in client/family counseling. Demonstrated experience in working with clients and families coping with terminal illness and death. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,500.00 per year
