Job Summary
Primary responsibilities include preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated tax accounting/reporting under US GAAP; preparation of Pillar 2 global minimum tax computations, administration of tax software, tax workpaper, and tax process automation; preparation and maintenance of legal entity organization charts. Assists VP-Tax and Global Tax Directors with various tax matters including transfer pricing, sustainability, tax transparency, transactions, and other special projects.
Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Analysis and preparation of consolidated US GAAP tax accounting, both income statement and balance sheet, under ASC 740 on a quarterly and annual basis, including the consolidation and review of uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, balance sheet classification and presentation, and deferred taxes. Prepares consolidated Pillar 2 global minimum tax calculations. Prepares consolidated tax provision schedules to support quarterly and annual financial reporting filings. Prepares/reviews consolidated income tax journal entries on a quarterly and annual basis. Prepare/reviews consolidated reports for management review including flux analysis of key balance sheet and income statement accounts. Prepares a legal entity organization chart on a quarterly basis.

Develop and implement a tax technology strategy/roadmap for automation, streamlining, standardization of tax accounting, compliance and reporting, data management, and data analytics.

Assist with special projects including sustainability, tax transparency, internal or external restructuring.
Education:
-
Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - BS/BA/BBA in Accounting. Certified as CPA, CA, JD or equivalent.

Preferred Level: Master's Degree - Master in Tax is a plus.
Experience:
-
Minimum Required: Strong knowledge of accounting systems, US GAAP, and fundamentals of the drilling business. Minimum 5+ years of tax or finance experience. Proven capabilities on international tax provision calculations and financial reporting.

Preferred Level: 8+ years of tax or finance experience.
Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of complicated international tax provisions, technical tax knowledge on transfer pricing, tax treaties, foreign tax credits, U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, FAS 5, APB 23, and effective tax rate. Must have strong communication skills.
