JThe Procurement Director will lead, manage, and mature the procurement function for the company. The Procurement Director will develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support operations. This role will be crucial in driving the maturity of the overall Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
The Procurement Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and manage supplier relationships. They will lead the transformation of the procurement function, leveraging technology and data analytics to optimize processes, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Planning:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans
- Identify new suppliers, products, and services
Conduct market research and analysis
Contract Negotiation and Vendor Management:
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
Procurement Process Management:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs
Ensure timely fulfillment of procurement requests
Spend Analysis and Cost Savings:
- Analyze spend data and provide regular reports
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
Continuously seek ways to drive cost savings
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor the procurement team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
Ensure team members have the necessary skills and resources
5+ years of progressive procurement experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, processes and technologies
- Proven track record of leading procurement transformations and implementing best-in-class P2P processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in procurement technologies and tools, such as: e-Procurement systems, spend analysis, and contract management software
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Deep understanding of procurement compliance and risk management
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field
