Weatherization Install Trainer
Position Type: Full-time salaried position.
Job Summary:
The Weatherization Install Trainer is responsible for training new and existing weatherization employees in install best practices and safety protocols as well as maintaining the training facility and associated training materials and props.

Training Program:
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance the knowledge and proficiency of weatherization team members.
- Create and update training materials to align with industry best practices, organizational objectives and safety protocols.
- On-board new employees to HomeWorks Energy and ensure folks understand HWE standard policies and procedures.
- Conduct on-the-job training sessions at various sites or locations.
Compliance and Standards:
- Provide coaching, training, and tracking to reinforce HWE safety policy and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate trainee performance to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Act as an exemplary model of safety policy and HWE policies to set the example for preferred employee behavior.
- Report conduct concerns or performance challenges to the Director of Training and Safety for appropriate action, while providing necessary support to maintain performance standards.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, assessments, and certifications utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) and provide feedback to managers.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to schedule raining sessions and allocate resources effectively.
- Maintain the training facility and associated training props in good and safe working order.
- Perform additional tasks as required
Education & Experience:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic carpentry skills acquired through formal education or field experience.
- Preferred experience in installing insulation or relevant construction experience.
- Experience with Mass Save or Weatherization Assistance programs a plus.
- Must possess the ability to learn computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and learning management system (LMS).
- Ability to confidently and professionally present to groups.
- Demonstrated ability to teach proper installation practices and coach employees.
- Creative approach to making training sessions motivating and impactful.
- Patience and strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse personalities.
- Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This is a supervisory role that may include overseeing and managing a team or department.
Work Environment: (will be exposed to all environments listed below)
- Warehouse Environment: This position is based in a warehouse, which serves as a base for many of our operations and includes equipment and material storage areas.
- Customer settings: This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors, including in attics, basements, small-confined spaces, and rooftops.
- Office Environment: This position is based in an open office environment with typical office conditions; however, may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, and must be able to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, stand on roofs, and move up and down stairs safely.
- Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
- This job may require travel in a personal or company-provided vehicle.
