Job Title: Technical Lead: Snowflake Insurance Business Analyst
Experience: 8-12 years

Mandatory skill set required: Thorough knowledge of Commercial Insurance domain across a variety of lines of business. Additional industry knowledge of delegated underwriting and third-party claims data is a bonus.

Roles & Responsibilities: -
Ø Support in developing requirements related to Source-to-Target Mappings, Data Templates, Data Transformations, and Business Validations, as well as support in explaining these requirements to the Data Ingestion Framework development teams (including Adeptia,, Application delivery and Data Engineering)
- Work with business and other stakeholders to identify additional data needs for the prioritized lines of business.
- Enhance the functional data template with key metadata for the additional data elements e.g. field name, description, data type, Optionality, etc.
- Work with data architecture team on the modelling of data elements in the target JSON structure.
- Work with Adeptia on the ingestion of the revised target JSON template.
- Educate and work with business to perform source to target mapping for the new attributes.
- Define data validation rules and data exception messages.
- Provide data transformation logic to curation services – document specifications as well as overview sessions etc.
- Define sample data to support with the build and testing.
- Provide support during testing – triage of errors, root cause analysis and remediation action (where necessary)
- Define and execute test scenarios during UAT.
- Assist the product owner with the creation and review of business requirements, process documentation, preparation of material for status updates, tracking the progress of the project against the plan etc.
- Prepare operating manual/run book for the productional rollout.
Ø Other Third-Party Data Ingestion Requirements (as capacity allows): Support in requirements development of up to one additional use case (e.g. TPA Claims) as capacity allows above-and-beyond North America Policy Bordereau requirements.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is $110,000-$135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
