Job Summary
Scottsdale Providence Recovery Center is an Outpatient Substance Abuse/Mental Health Treatment Center which provides group, case management, 1:1 counseling, medical services, for clients who are experiencing issues with Substance Abuse, Mental Health, & Trauma. We treat a wide range of clients who are suffering from co-occuring issues, mood disorder, substance abuse, and all other mental health issues.
We have a "family" atmosphere and have spent the past several years growing our business. As we have continued to grow we are looking to add another full-time therapist who can run groups, facilitate individual/family sessions, conduct assessments (Biopsychsocial, ASAM, etc.) all while encouraging the strong culture we have created. We are looking for somebody with personal background in substance abuse and/or other co-occurring disorders who is also licensed.
Preferred - EMDR Certified, CBT/DBT familiar, ACT trained, Somatic Experiencing, any additional modalities, training and certifications. LPC, LCSW, LAC, LMSW.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Under the direct supervision of the Scottsdale Providence Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director, the clinician is responsible for case management and treatment counseling for a caseload of program clients. In addition, the clinician performs tasks required to screen clients relative to program eligibility requirements, conducts intakes on new clients, conducts ongoing interviews, develops client service plans, coordinates services provided to the client, tracks/records and reports on client progress. Moreover, the clinician conducts chemical substance abuse and mental health assessments and provides individual, family and group treatment. The clinician also serves as a representative in meetings with organizations external to Scottsdale Providence, Inc., which are relative to specific clients. Conducts delegated administrative duties, as required to ensure efficient and effective client service delivery.
JOB DUTIES:
- Conducts clinical assessments of client substance use/abuse and mental health issues, develops treatment plans.
- Plans and carries out individual, family and group counseling treatment.
- Performs case management tasks necessary to scheduling and conducting interviews, determining client program eligibility, screening of clients, client intakes and tracking/recording and reporting on client progress.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of clients on caseload.
- Schedules and/or attends upon request/subpoena court hearings and other meetings with other individuals/organizations relative to the client's treatment.
- Attends scheduled clinical supervision conferences and counseling meetings for information exchange, case reviews and client treatment.
- Assists immediate supervisor in performance of delegated, special assignment duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Level II (Behavioral Health Professional):
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Justice Studies with focus on clinical counseling.
- Two years of full-time direct practice experience in working with criminal justice/substance-abusing/mental health population. One year of direct treatment counseling preferred.
- Licensure (e.g., LPC, LISAC, LCSW or LAC, LASAC or LMSW) may substitute for direct experience.
- Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health counseling theory and techniques.
- Ability to effectively use ICD-10 and DSM V terminology and full Axis diagnosis.
- Ability to attain eligibility for licensure (LASAC as minimum) within six months of hiring; obtaining licensure mandatory.
- Must pass fingerprinting and background check.
- Must pass urinalysis drug screen.
SKILLS:
Must have good writing and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate to a variety of treatment and criminal justice professionals. Must have good individual, family and group therapy skills.
ABILITIES:
Must be able to integrate knowledge of substance abuse treatment into effective therapeutic practice on individual and small group basis. Must be able to use a variety of theory and treatment techniques in providing counseling and treatment to substance involved individuals including those involved in the justice system. Must be able to perform a variety of case management tasks and duties within the framework of stated Scottsdale Providence programs and agency policy and procedures. Must be able to work effectively with diverse populations with co-occurring diagnoses.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
