SUMMARY: The employee will work on a variety of automated machinery to assist in the manufacturing of filters. This position will manage equipment performance to insure all specifications are met, maintain 6S standards, data entry, and report issues. This position will work with diligent attention to the details of each job specification, in a safe and efficient manner with the most consistent and highest quality product. Report performance on hour by hour charts to meet daily production requirements and business demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Inspect components for defects and physical discrepancies to meet requirements
- Follow proper written documentation/complete quality forms
- Comply with all department and corporate policies and procedures included, but not limited to Safety and Security.
- Operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment daily. (Set up machine at beginning of shift, maintain cleanliness throughout the shift, final cleaning at end of shift). Replace any chemicals as necessary.
- Read, interpret, follow shop order details /drawings and enter applicable information into HMI (Human Machine Interface) computer system.
- Tools and equipment should be maintained and kept in good working order.
- Adhere to production schedule.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Follow written/oral instructions from engineers, group leaders and supervisor.
- Participate in process improvement projects.
- Report issues to group leader and document downtime.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess technical skills to set up, change over, troubleshoot, and make any adjustments to machine when necessary. Previous machine operator experience a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to effectively communicate in the workforce
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Simple math required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for continuous periods of 4 hours. The employee frequently is required to handle product and reach with hands and arms, repetitively throughout the shift. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
