Customer Service Representative
Job Description
Overview:
A Customer Service Representative is responsible for the communication, order entry, follow up, and issue resolution with O’Brien Steel Service’s contractual customers. This position serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. This position works closely with office, operations, and shipping personnel to ensure orders are delivered in a timely manner and that customers maintain a high level of satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Enter customer orders in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Process changes to order pricing, quantity, and delivery dates.
- Verify order details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Follow orders through fulfillment cycle and expedite as necessary.
- Collaborate with relevant internal teams to facilitate on-time delivery of orders.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is on-hand to meet customer needs.
- Clearly and effectively respond to customer inquiries.
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer complaints empathetically and escalate to management when appropriate.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience within the manufacturing industry preferred
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
