Inside Technical Sales I

We also provide a robust range of dies tailored for the fastener industry. Serving a diverse range of sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and energy, we are now looking for a skilled Inside Technical Sales professional to help us deepen our market penetration and enhance our service to clients.
Position Summary:
As an Inside Technical Sales I at OSG USA, Inc., you will be critical in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position involves identifying client needs, processing orders, and providing expert knowledge on tooling concepts. You will work independently, handling complex tasks and using a consultative sales approach to meet and exceed objectives.
Key Responsibilities for an Inside Technical Sales I:
- Provide front-line service by answering incoming customer calls, solving problems, and doing order follow-up
- Create sales by using a consultative approach
- Generate new leads for the outside sales team
- Receives, researches, and responds to customer inquiries regarding technical issues and product quality
- Identifies needs and makes recommendations regarding revisions to policy and procedure.
- Assures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Develops and maintains the Department’s and Organization’s image and corporate philosophy in the community
- Establish a professional relationship with the customers
- Obtain full comprehension of the product line to present quality information and provide technical assistance
- May process customer orders as needed
Qualifications for an Inside Technical Sales I:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous experience in a related field
- Excellent English and grammar skills are required to communicate orally and externally to customers and internally to innovators and management
- Experience with computers, especially MS Office Suite products
- Professional telephone voice/manner with the ability to operate computer/telephone equipment and manage a multitude of tasks
- Ability to perform complex mathematical equations and calculations
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a professional and timely manner
- Ability to learn and retain required product knowledge when presented and tested
Preferred Qualifications for Inside Technical Sales I:
- Previous experience in the cutting tool industry

Compensation:
- Starting hourly rate $20 (pay commensurate with experience) + monthly bonus potential
Reports to: Customer Success Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Nonexempt/hourly
Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Monday - Friday.
