Responsibilities include:
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment
- Obtains vital signs and completes appropriate documentation in medical records
- Performs allergy skin prick and intradermal testing, spirometry, patch testing
- Performs patient education on allergy and asthma care
- Administers allergy injections, biologic injections
- Monitor patients for possible adverse reactions from allergy injections
- Follows up on prior authorizations and insurance authorizations
- Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment
- Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth and efficient clinical operations
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Provides assistance to physician when requested
- Answers phones, schedules appointments
- Greets patients upon check-in
- Performs insurance eligibility checks
- Responds to messages and faxes in a timely manner, assists with patient questions
- Performs all other tasks and projects as assigned by physician and supervisor
**We are seeking a part time medical assistant to work 1.5 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) as follows:
Tuesday: 8:15 am to 4:45 pm
Thursday: 12:15 pm to 3:45 pm
**Candidates MUST be able to work the above hours. Availability for coverage as needed is a plus.
Clinic hours:
Monday 10 am - 6:30 pm
Tuesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Thursday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
