Leasing Consultant
Summary:
Handle all aspects of leasing apartments, including greeting prospective resident, touring the community and model apartment, and assisting with screening, approval and move in process.
Essential Functions
- Have prospect complete application and secure deposit in accordance with the company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
- Ensure apartment is ready for resident to move-in on agreed date.
- Assist in monitoring renewals. Distribute and follow-up on renewal notices.
- Monitor advertising effectiveness. Gather information about market competition in the area and file.
- Accept rental payments and give immediately to Assistant Property Manager.
- Type lease and complete appropriate paperwork and input information in the Resman System accurately and on a timely basis. Review with the Property Manager prior to obtaining signatures.
- Maintain current resident files
- Distribute all company or community-issued notices.
- Receive all telephone calls and in-person visits. Listen to resident requests, concerns, and comments.
- Ensure all maintenance repairs are handled satisfactorily by contacting residents with completed Service Requests on a weekly basis.
- Assist in planning resident functions. Attend functions and participate as host for any functions as directed by the Property Manager.
- Other duties as assigned, which employee can perform.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent customer service, telephone, and communication skills, Resman experience a plus
Must be able to work weekends
