Job Overview:
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will play a key role in strategic planning, project management, and business development. No real estate experience needed. As a key player in our startup, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our operational strategies and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
● Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
● Project/Asset Management: Select, manage, and negotiate with contractors and third-party vendors, ensure quality and timely work within scope for renovations and maintenance.
● Marketing and Networking: Engage with wholesalers, brokers, agents, investors, other industry professionals, building strong connections that fortify our operations.
● Investment Analysis: Evaluate investment opportunities and master the skills of property valuation/comping, underwriting, due diligence, preparing underwriting reports, transforming data into actionable insights.
● Inspections: Facilitate property walkthrough and inspections.
● Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively resolve operational challenges.
● Strategic Planning: Assist in strategic planning and business development initiatives as our real estate journey grows, identifying challenges and consistently delivering clear, creative solutions.
Requirements:
● Operations Management: Proven experience in ops management preferably in real estate or related field.
● Communication/Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills of all forms (email, phone, in-person, automated, internal and external).
● Organizational Skills: Ability to self-manage, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
● Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in management software, spreadsheet management, data analysis/interpretation.
● Self-Motivated: Ambitious, growth mindset, driven, passion for continuous improvement and personal development.
● Problem solving: Strong problem solving and critical thinking, adept at identifying challenges and consistently delivering clear, creative solutions.
● Preferred: Real estate experience is not required but is a bonus.
