The Research and Development (R & D) Laboratory Technician is responsible for providing the testing within and maintenance of the R & D Laboratory. This position will provide all functions required to carry out laboratory testing programs for performance verification of existing and new product and system designs.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position requires an onsite presence to perform the essential duties.
- The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
Work Environment/Conditions:

- This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free laboratory, but will also occasionally require work outdoors or on job sites that may be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, hazardous, noisy and dusty.
- Limited travel could entail visits to domestic and international customers or offshore facilities that will require travel by automobile, train and/or air throughout the year and in locations where all weather conditions may be encountered. Occasional assignments will require remote accessing and may include evening or weekend schedules.
- The noise level is usually moderate. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
