ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Participates in develop, monitor, and implement specific policies and procedures affecting daily operation and assure compliance with state licensure, CMS, Federal regulations.
- Creating, monitoring, and reviewing appropriate staffing based on needs of activities of patients, physicians, and personnel to ensure quality of services and cost effectiveness.
- Assist in providing education training, in service, and guidance for nurses, and service as a role model.
- Create a positive environment for all employees and customers.
- Supervise patient care and perform clinical patient care as needed. Helps with OR room turnover.
- Direct, monitor, and evaluate activities to ensure medical / nursing professional case for each patent.
- Assist in reviewing performance evaluation for employees.
- Monitor Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Safety, Infection Control, and delegate responsibilities to appropriate personnel staff members.
- Provide data and assistance in the credentialing process.
- Offer Recommendations to improve the efficiency of patient care workflow.
- Assigns cases to procedure/operating room and revises schedule as necessary.
- Communicates with patient, family, and health professionals regarding care.
- Assesses any changes, delays, or cancellations in daily schedule. Communicates those changes to all appropriate staff members, physicians, patients and/or families when necessary
- Assists in the practice of fire drills and disaster plans with Director of Nursing.
- Assists in maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment.
- Prepares daily patient care assignments.
- Counsels employees as needed
- Attends management meetings at the request of the Director of Nursing.
- Plans or recommends educational programs for Center personnel.
- Assists with the orientation of new personnel in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- RN with current New York State license.
- Current ACLS, BCLS and Inflection Control certification.
- Previous OR/PACU experience, two years preferred.
- Previous leadership experience one year preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
