CaroMont Health is hiring a Full-time Assistant Manager to work Day shifts within our Cardiac Cath Lab(CCL)/Electrophysiology (EP) Lab team at the CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC!
Assistant Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, manages and coordinates activities of the Cardiac Cath and EP Labs.
- Responsible for coordination of patient care and departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division and departmental mission statement and values, and in accordance with approved policies and guidelines.
- Responsible for direct supervision of staff.
- Responsible for scheduling of equipment maintenance or repairs.
- Helps support the growth and development for CCL, EPL, and SH.
- Works collaboratively with C&PN, OR, CH&V and inpatient areas.
- Responsible for additional specified task assigned by the manager/director, in addition to participating in routine daily operations and workflow within the lab.
- Participates on an equal basis with other CCL teammates in on-call activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associates Degree from a recognized college or university REQUIRED
- Two (2) years CCL and/or EPL clinical experience REQUIRED
- Specialty certification preferred.
- If RN, must have current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
- If CV Tech, must have registry or certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
- BLS/ACLS certification REQUIRED
- Must be able to communicate tactfully and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals and families for positive results and outcomes.
- Must demonstrate considerable ability to manage, coach and provide a motivated environment.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate significant flexibility when managing multiple priorities.
- Considerable ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment/procedures are introduced.
- Ongoing participation in continuing education.
- Reports data and implements quality improvement initiatives.
