As a Packaging Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for qualifying packaging for consumer electronic products. The company creates iconic packaging that meets a high bar for reliability and demonstrates care for the people who use them and the world around us. You will work closely with the packaging design engineer and packaging management teams to define standards, specify tests, and then supervise test execution and failure analysis. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will be key to ensuring adoption of your technical recommendations. The packaging teams constantly pursue a packaging design that targets better out-of-box experience and packaging sustainability. Our packaging is used for millions of products from various product categories. As a key role to qualify a variety of packaging, a packaging reliability engineer needs to have a broad knowledge of both product and

Scope:
- Lead packaging reliability test planning, methodology & execution. Lead the failure analysis process with internal & external cross-functional teams for all failures discovered in reliability testing.
- Work in Reliability test labs & collaborate with test engineers.
- Conduct statistical analysis & risk assessment.
- Review issues with cross functional teams & escalate critical ones to management team.
Required:
- Degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1+ year of experience with reliability engineering.
- Experience with packaging test standards like ISTA & ASTM. Able to operate environmental chambers, a vibration shaker, & a drop tester.
- Experience with reliability techniques like DFMEA, Weibull & TTF models.
Pluses:
- Experience with overseas manufacturing partners.
- Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Experience with package testing.
- Experience with failure analysis techniques.
- Ability to speak/understand Chinese & Vietnamese.
