SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This key position is largely focused upon managing vendor relationships to ensure the timely delivery of purchase orders. This includes issuance of purchase orders, working with suppliers to confirm purchase orders and managing purchase orders that need to be delayed or expedited. Strong organizational skills and computer skills, communication skills, and effective task follow-up ability are required. There is also the expectation that strategic thinking and analysis will be used to uncover efficiencies and cost savings across all lines of business.
The person in this position will be successful if:

The plants have little or no downtime and issues are seamless and invisible to Operations.

Obey GMP’s and PPE’s for production areas.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collect and compile large amounts of data to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of raw materials.

Create, manipulate, and maintain spreadsheets.

Communicate supply gaps with the Supply Chain and Warehouse teams, and other teams as needed.

Process Purchase Orders daily.

Become familiar with Trace Gains.

Manage and communicate with suppliers to facilitate data collection.

Assists with special projects as needed.

Participate in team brainstorming.
-
Other duties and reports as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Five years’ experience is required. Some college preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read, communicate and comprehend English at a collegiate level. Ability to effectively present BNAs requirements to outside suppliers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate addition and multiplication formulas along with percentages and simple algebraic equations with a high level of accuracy.
REASONING ABILITY
Excellent critical thinking skills are required. Must have the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and have the confidence to implement these solutions independently.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
This person must have the ability to shift work priorities on an hourly basis. Keeping calm and professional when communicating with internal and external customers is critical. Above average Excel skills are preferred. Other computer skills including the use of the Internet, Outlook, and Word are required. Prior experience with an ERP system is desirable. Ability to learn new software systems are necessary.
