We are seeking an oil and gas attorney to work in our midstream and upstream transactional practices.
The midstream work primarily consists of preparing, reviewing, and negotiating surface use agreements, leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, non-disclosure agreements, and other contracts relevant to our clients' water and gas midstream businesses.
The upstream work primarily involves preparation of title opinions, preparation of curative instruments, and purchase and sale representation.
Our projects are in Texas and New Mexico, so bar licensure in one of those states is required. We also require (a) at least two years of experience with title examination and/or preparation of oil and gas contracts similar to those described above; (b) great drafting skills and attention to detail; and (c) strong interpersonal skills.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
It's an exciting practice due to the variety of work, and there is potential to be onboarded into the firm's real estate practice as well. We also offer a great work-life balance, with flexible hours.
