Black Hills Regional Eye Institute is currently seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for our busy Retina practice. Responsibilities include assisting patients through the course of an eye examination and treatment. An Ophthalmic Technician performs all areas of history taking and patient work ups, assist with minor office procedures such as eye injections, laser and clinical trial treatments. Provides patient education per the physicians' instructions, triage urgent calls and documenting the patient’s encounter in our medical records systems. The successful candidate will be friendly, efficient, possess a good work ethic and have a positive attitude. The candidate also must have attention to detail, multi-task and be able to adapt to a flexible schedule.
Criteria:
- Moderate to strong computer skills.
- Be able to travel with a team.
- Experience in optometry or ophthalmology helpful but not required.
