Job Summary:
DISTRICT SCHOOL LEVEL LUNCH FACILITATOR
The District School Lunch Facilitator is responsible for gathering and submitting key data about the food service program for the School District. The District School Level Lunch Facilitator supports and implements procedures and performs administrative directives written, spoken and/or implied.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), high school diploma, or five or more years of related experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of database technologies.
- Excellence in communication skills, written and verbal, with demonstrated attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Prior work experience with a traditional or charter public school district or other public sector employer preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage school meals program to ensure compliance with State and county health department (determining student eligibility, monitoring day-to-day operations, conduct parent/student survey, etc.)
2. Review, assess, and reply to Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) Bulletins and communications in regards to state notifications, training, submission deadlines, and grant opportunities regarding the food service program
3. Review monthly school meal invoices from Food Service Management Company (FSMC) / provider for accuracy
4. Work with CFO/COO to facilitate procedures for Request for Proposals (RFPs) vendor bids, review and meet with vendors, as well as comply with selection process for selecting a FSMC/ provider
5. Work with CFO/COO to complete and forward annual food service contract renewal documents as required by MDE
6. Conduct On-Site Review/Inspection of School Meals Program bi-annually with contracted FSMC, and meet monthly to discuss general kitchen staff operations
7. Facilitate and monitor Lunch Coordinators daily activities, work assignments and reports
8. Ensure health/safety requirements mandated by Wayne County Health Department are met
9. Work with CFO/COO to co-develop and maintain School Wellness Policy for compliance purposes
10. Performs other related duties as assigned by Chief Executive Officer, Principals or designee.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
