Peabody Properties is seeking applicants interested in property management to join its Compliance - Lease Up team as an Occupancy Specialist.
The Occupancy Specialist is responsible for the recertification process at the property and will be taught aspects of the lease up process, initial certifications and recertifications, program compliance, and resident relations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing and collecting resident information including 3rd party verification, determining eligibility for continued occupancy, leasing and showing apartments, processing potential resident applications, processing interim certifications as needed, ensuring proper calculation of income, assets and rent levels.
The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented and is a fast learner, has a strong work ethic and is industrious in addition to being solutions-oriented with a positive attitude and exhibits resiliency.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in the administrative field or in a customer focused industry
- Proven ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Proven ability to be a self-starter.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, constantly changing work culture.
- Excellent administrative, interpersonal, and people skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Exhibits a can-do attitude.
- Willingness to learn the ins and outs of the property management industry.
