Marukai central kitchen is seeking a skilled Fish Cutter to join our team. Fish cutters are designated to start working in early morning, usually around 3:00am. Fish Cutter is responsible for expertly breaking down a variety of fish, including tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and more, to meet our high standards for quality and precision.
Summary of the Position:
Associate is the most important position in our CK Production department which requires all our associates to be physically and mentally fully available for the tasks assigned. All the Associate needs to complete their task with safe and accurate manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Keep the store clean and neat is the essential responsibility for all Marukai employees.
- Provide friendly and helpful between each other in the workplace.
- Properly wear and use company provide Personal Protective Equipment such as uniform/vest, apron, mask, gloves, hat, hair net, and others.

Understand the task requirements and make sure the material and equipment are ready before starting the work.
- Provide the task result with the quality and time required standard.
- Based on the assignment, you might need to handle Deli, Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Sushi, and or other perishable products.
- Based on the assignment, you need to handle different tools and equipment such as a slicer, scale, saw, knife, wrapper, grinder, and or other necessary items.

Keep the path with team operations speed during the tasks. Respect teamwork as one of the team members.
- Follow the supervisor’s instructions and company policy and procedures.

Requirements:

CentralKitchen team member experience will be plus but not required.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to work both fast and accurately.

Stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the store, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces.

Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task effectively.

Possesses a food handling license.
- Possesses a forklift operating license.
- Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a “Certified Food Safety Manager” or will be required to attend company-paid training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment. Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position in which it is required.
Work Skill Requirements:
- The central kitchen production team will provide the work skill training and instruction.
