Job Description
McNicholas & McNicholas, LLP is a Los Angeles-based plaintiff trial law firm seeking a full-time or temp-to-hire Legal File Clerk to provide secretarial and administrative support. The ideal candidate needs excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage a variety of administrative tasks, and effectively liaise between attorneys and employees.
Job Responsibilities:
- Filing, indexing pleadings, discovery, correspondence, etc., scanning, photocopying large volume of documents including exhibits;
- Processing Mail including incoming and outgoing mail, overnight packages;
- Closing files and maintaining accurate logs;
- Some reception relief for breaks, lunch, and personal days.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to recognize and differentiate between various types of legal documents. Prior law firm experience a plus.
- Must be a self-starter who is well organized and can handle multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook on Mac platform, a plus.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, photocopier, and scanner.
- Must be able to lift minimum 35 pounds.
