Position Title: Line Cook
Reports To: Sous Chefs, Executive Chef
Position Summary: Petrossian Restaurant & Boutique, a high-end caviar store and French restaurant, is looking for a part-time line cook. Apart from our weekend brunch service we also cater for small events both on-site and off-site. While fine dining experience is a plus, more important is a positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn. Line cooks at Petrossian are part of a small team that provides customers with a unique dining experience and are expected to uphold our fine dining hospitality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare items according to customer orders of consistent quality and presentation standards.
- Be passionate about the food industry with a strong interest in high- quality products.
- Understanding, knowledge, and ability to comply with safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills, along with the ability to recognize what needs to be prioritized.
- Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment.
- Organize and manage stocks in walk-in, ensuring all products are consistently arranged stored, labeled, dated and rotated.
- Perform all necessary cleaning duties and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
Schedule: 20-30 hours/week. Must be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9am-7pm + Special Events
Salary: Starting $22/hour + tips (depending on experience)
