Duties
- Perform therapeutic exercises and activities
- Help patients with mobility and functional activities
- Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Monitor patients' progress
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress
Skills
- Experience in outpatient settings
- Strong knowledge of human physiology to understand the body's response to therapy and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Familiarity with occupational health practices to assist patients in returning to work or improving their work-related abilities
- Understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and document patient information accurately
- Excellent patient care skills, including empathy, active listening, and effective communication
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy to identify musculoskeletal issues and develop targeted treatment plans
