HVAC Technician Job Summary
We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated residential and light commercial HVAC Service / Maintenance Technician to join our growing staff in the Tri-Valley and Central Valley areas. The individual in this role will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, and repairing our customers’ heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Candidates should experience handling, servicing, and repairing HVAC equipment, and be comfortable working with little to no supervision. HVAC Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel to homes and businesses on a daily basis as scheduled
- Perform consultations with customers
- Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods
- Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
- Perform planned maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
- Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues
- Sell ongoing maintenance agreements to current customers
- Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
- After Hours/Weekend On-Call Rotation
- Sell/ Equipment and Accessory Upgrades
HVAC Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- 2 years preferred experience (Maintenance Technician)
- Certification through the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to handle refrigerants required (we can help with this, if needed)
- NATE certification a plus
- Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand
