Credit and Collection Specialist
Breezy Hill Nursery is a Landscape, Nursery & Garden Center Company. It is a great place to work; with a positive, friendly, and energetic staff, it makes for a great work environment. Breezy Hill is seeking a friendly, highly motivated indivdual to assist our Accounting Team.
The Credit and Collection Specialist will be part of the Accounting Team primarily responsible for collecting and applying payments, company wide billing, and establishing credit limits. This position will work closely with sales and landscape managers to ensure accurate and timely billing as well las resolve customer disputes. As a member of the Accounting Team, they will also provide support to other team members, and ensure financial information is provided timely and accurately.
Responsibilities
Resonsibilities and Essential Duties include but not limited to :
· Oversee the customer credit function, including approving new or chnages to credit limits and reviewing customer activity vs. credit limits.
· Collect and post payments associated with project billings.
· Post and reconcile AR cash daily; ensure accuracy of general ledger and account coding
· Manage the billing process for all divisions.
. Work with the sales and operation teams to resolve billing disputes and credit note requests.
· Use client portals, where applicable to submit invoices.
· Provide weekly agings and work with the sales team to collect past due balances.
· Maintains Customer information, including Exemption Certificates.
. Meet month end close deadllines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associates degree in Accounting or Financial preferred.
· 3+ years of related experience, preferably in landscape or construction industries.
· Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo preferred or another large ERP system such as NetSuite).
· Familiarity with payment management software such as Textura.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
. Good organizational skills.
. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
