This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who have the summers free from their year-round positions. A well-known and loved summer camp organization is looking for a LPN for one of their overnight camps in Litchfield County.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The nurse will be administering basic first aid, providing care for any camper or staff illnesses or injuries, dispensing medications as needed, appropriate record keeping, and all other related duties.
The nurse should also act as a role model to campers and staff, observe and support camper behavior.
Additional details include:
Five days per week, 9:00am - 6:00pm
One day off per week to explore and recharge
The assignment is for 4 weeks, the second half of summer: 07/21/2024 – 08/17/2024
Weekly stipend between $800 - $1000 / week, depending on experience and nursing license.
Children or grandchildren can attend our day camp for free OR they can enjoy the overnight camp experience at a 50% discounted rate for as long as you work at the camp.
Use of camp amenities and facilities.
On-site accommodation and meals provided.
Minimum qualifications:
A. Desire and ability to work with children and adults in a camp setting
B. Ability, experience, and certification in Nursing
C. At least 21 years of age
D. CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration and Epi-Pen certifications
E. Current Driver’s License
F. Current Connecticut Nursing License, LPN
G. Professionalism, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self control
