Job Summary
This Human Resources Business Partner Associate is responsible for several core functions of our Human Resources department and assisting the department to operate at a high level consistent with our core values. This position is responsible for Human Resources functions, including employee relations, benefits and compensation administration, Worker’s Compensation administration, the employee accommodation process and assisting with HR compliance. The Human Resources Process Manager will provide guidance, insight, and offer solutions to benefit the Human Resources department and HopeTree Family Services.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Human Services Preferred or equivalent HR experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Travel as needed to provide onsite training and field consultation.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate employee needs and special projects as needed.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to accept feedback - and adapt their own behavior in response to feedback.
- Possess an understanding of the rules of confidentiality.
- Experience in the Human Services field with knowledge of the licensing regulations for DSS, DBHDS, and DMAS is strongly preferred.

- Operate telephone, computers, and other common standard office equipment.
- Operate a motor vehicle for business travel as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer the benefits program for HTFS, including training on benefits plans, assisting with annual benefit negotiations and Open Enrollment, new hire enrollment, carrier portal administration as needed, and year end 1095-C audits.
- Assist with compensation assessment as needed and provide guidance on compensation bands.
- Employee relations, such as guidance on progressive discipline, terminations, employee grievances, etc.
- Administer the Worker’s Compensation process, including filing injury reports with WC insurance carrier, lost time, light duty and return to work.
- Administer the accommodation process for both ADA and Religious Accommodation, including the interactive process, accommodation tracking and compliance, etc.
- Assist with HR Compliance, including personnel file audits, monthly OIG (Office of Inspector General) reporting and applicable 3-year background tracking.
- Assist Recruiting Coordinator as needed with personnel file building and compliance.
- Assist with conducting exit interviews for departing employees and stay interviews for current employees.
- Serve as back-up for the Director of Human Resources as needed and assist the Director of Human Resources with special projects as needed.
- Work with Accounting on Reconciliation of Benefit plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
