We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Painter Crew Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial painting and a proven track record of leading crews to successful project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of industrial painters on various projects, including surface preparation, coating application, and quality control.
- Plan and coordinate daily tasks and assignments for the painting crew, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Oversee surface preparation activities, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming, to prepare substrates for coating application.
- Apply industrial coatings, paints, and finishes to a variety of surfaces, including metal, concrete, and structural steel, using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
- Monitor work progress and quality standards to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks of finished surfaces, identifying and addressing any defects or deficiencies promptly.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, including proper handling and storage of painting materials and equipment.
- Train and mentor crew members on painting techniques, safety procedures, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an industrial painter, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial painting projects.
- Strong leadership skills and experience leading a painting crew or team of workers in an industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial coatings, paints, and application methods, as well as surface preparation techniques and standards.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for working in industrial environments, including confined spaces, heights, and hazardous materials.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Authorized to work in the U.S for any employer.
