Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our team. As a Licensed Therapist, you will provide professional counseling services to individuals, families, and groups dealing with a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues and life challenges. You will play a crucial role in helping clients develop coping mechanisms, improve their mental well-being, and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health and emotional well-being.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
- Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Guide clients in developing effective coping strategies and skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns.
- Offer support and guidance to clients as they navigate personal and interpersonal challenges.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and billing information, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field of mental health and participate in ongoing professional development activities, such as workshops, seminars, and trainings.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice established by relevant licensing boards and professional associations.
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy rights of clients in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent licensure.
- Clinical experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups preferred.
- Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and family systems therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their mental health and well-being.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential client records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines and standards of practice
