Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to our medical office, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors, manage the front desk, and handle incoming calls and messages.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, both manually and electronically using PCC.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, preparing patient charts, and coordinating referrals.
- Provide administrative support to the medical staff, including preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Keeps central supply rooms and pantries on the unit clean and orderly. ---Assist the Charge Nurse in ensuring daily staffing schedules are posted on the unit daily.
-Develop and maintain a good working rapport with all members of the Interdisciplinary team.
-Greet newly admitted residents upon admission. Escort to room as necessary.
- Greet family members who arrive at the unit and direct questions to the Charge Nurse.
-Assist in escorting residents to/from activities, appointments, and social functions.
- Manage phone systems, respond to phone calls, and handle phone messages.
- Assists the charge nurse in gathering necessary paperwork for consults, transfers, and discharges.
- Completes necessary filing of medical records and forms on the unit such as records from the hospital and other relevant forms.
- Provide exceptional patient care and support, addressing patient needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Handle urgent care situations, including triaging patients and coordinating with medical staff to ensure timely and effective treatment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must hold a DC CNA Certification
- Prior experience in a medical office or urgent care setting preferred.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with medical receptionist duties and medical records management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $19.76 per hour
