Haver & Boecker USA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team!
In this role, you will design electrical schematics for the manufacturing of packing equipment and provide technical support for the Assembly and production.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical schematics while staying in compliance with OSHA and NFPA guidelines
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products
Create Bills of Material for the manufacturing of equipment
Work closely with the internal Engineering team and provide assistance and advice concerning all technical aspects
Give technical support to vendors and internally in regard to NEC and UL 508A concerns
Provide technicians with technical support during the assembly process
Source and define parts from vendors and request and compare quotes
Participate in internal and external technical meetings
Inspect completed installations and conduct equipment testing to ensure conformance to design and
equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards
Maintain internal electrical engineering standards and specifications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Degree with equivalent work experience
Working Experience:
3 years of industry-related experience, experience in UL 508A, UL698A, and Eplan is preferred.
Other Skills:
Exceptional technical understanding and mathematical skills,
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Eplan, AutoCAD, SAP) would be an asset,
Excellent English communication skills, a second language would be an asset (Spanish, German).
Ability to travel
