- Prepare numerous venues on campus for events by physically setting needed staging, pipeand drape, tables, chairs, floor covers, etc. according to room diagrams and banquet event orders
- Remove items from event spaces to return the venues to their normal state at the conclusion of each event
- Facilitate the proper organization of and cleanliness of venues including hallways, common areas, service corridors and storage areas by keeping them clean, organized, and unobstructed
- Ensure inventory of furniture and equipment is organized and in good working condition by storing appropriately and inspecting for potential damage
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues by remaining alert and responsive to their needs
- Respond calmly and effectively to on-the-fly requests for changes
- Must be available to work flexible hours and days including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays
- Lift and carry heavy objects, weighing up to 70 lbs, to facilitate event setup while maintaining a high level of energy and endurance to withstand the physically demanding tasks
