Position: Program Manager

Summary: Girls Inc. of Westchester is looking for a creative, committed and energetic Program Manager that possesses qualifications to develop and empower girls between the ages of 9-18 years of age. The Program Manger will administer and deliver Girls Inc programming as they relate to girls and their families throughout the communities of Westchester County.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Program Facilitators
- Work closely with the GIWC staff, Volunteers, and Community members
- Assist in the supervision, management, coordination and oversight of programs, events and projects provided to girls, parents and community members such as the College Shower, Girls Leadership Summit, Kick-off event, and End of Year Celebration.
- Assist in the delivery of dynamic, engaging and educational programs in a pro-girl environment.
- Lead Family Engagement events from ideation to implementation with the support of the Program Team
- Report to the Director of Programs and the Executive Team to analyze youth requirements, develop effective programming and identify resources for the same.
- Assist in training all program employees and volunteers
- Manage the Program Volunteers and Intern Program
- Attend weekly Program Team meetings and bi weekly GIWC Leadership Meetings
- Assist with planning, implementing, marketing and evaluating of program activities to achieve all of GIWC’s program objectives and goals
- Manage and oversee the data collection and reporting of Compass 360
- Develop, plan, implement, market and evaluate virtual program activities to achieve all of GIWC’s program objectives and goals
- Ability to work some nights, weekends, school holidays
- Lead GIE sessions at school sites and/or virtually, as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, however, work experience will be considered.
- Position requires flexibility, creativity, organization, energy, and passion for inspiring girls to be strong, smart and bold.
- A self-starter with the ability to work as a team player and foster cooperative work.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with youth, parents, community leaders, and school staff.
- Background in partnering with schools, experiential learning and group facilitation with youth is a must.
- Experience working with diverse communities. Experience working in single-sex, gender equity programs is preferred.
- Experience facilitating or teaching to young people
- Ability to develop lesson plans and modify curriculum.
- Ability to facilitate large group discussions and engaging activities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills, using positive youth development principles.
- Ability to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young girls and team of Program Facilitators.
- Ability to identify needs and develop relevant activities for after-school setting.
- Ability to multi-task and adjust to the needs of the role.
- Reliable, timely, ability to receive and provide feedback in a constructive way.
- Must have reliable/own transportation.
- Support self-care, self-awareness and community advocacy.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
