How You Will Contribute:
The Director of Financial Operations is responsible for the overall financial health and process management of key functions at the organization. The position’s primary goals are to optimize revenue and reduce costs through the implementation and maintenance of strategic processes. The Director of Financial Operations is tasked with providing proactive and actionable insights to facility leadership and driving operational excellence through process improvements and fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
Essential Responsibilities:

Provides immediate supervision and leadership to the Revenue Cycle team and processes, including month end processes.
- Promotes an atmosphere of teamwork across multiple departments to ensure processes are in place to improve revenue cycle and operational expense management.

Maintains daily census reporting across all locations in alignment with utilization review and billing teams and processes.

Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement processes, ensuring continuous quality improvement and compliance with licensure and accreditation requirements, as necessary.
- Ensures policies and procedures are implemented and consistently adhered to.
- Improves customer experience including patient financial counseling and communications.

Facilitates communication between Revenue Cycle and Clinical teams to ensure timely payment and collections.
- Facilitates communication between Revenue Cycle to Admissions teams ensuring financial agreements are in place prior to admission and adhered to throughout the client’s treatment episode.
- Ensures collection of client responsibility agreements including insurance cost share, private pay services and room and board at admission, throughout the episode of care and post discharge.

Ensures accurate and timely charge entry, billing, insurance and patient collections, and cash posting.

Monitors operational costs; develops, implements, and oversees systems of checks and balances ensuring sound financial stewardship.
- Manages client funds/trust process.
- Collaborates with all departments on a weekly/monthly cadence to ensure adherence to staffing control grids and proactive adjustments to facility operations aligned with annual budgets.

Improves procurement practices for additional control and oversight.
- Proactively manages contracts and ensures compliance with contract protocols.

Ensures KPIs are implemented, reviewed, and actioned timely.

Participates in the management of physical plant and related staff to ensure facility’s needs are prioritized and actioned.
What We Are Seeking:
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration; A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience is required along with a minimum of 3 years operational experience in the healthcare provider environment with revenue cycle management.
