RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is looking to add a skilled and detail-oriented Senior SEC Reporting Analyst to join their corporate accounting team.
Position Overview:
As a Senior SEC Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for participating in the preparation and filing of their financial statements and reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your technical expertise while contributing to our commitment to transparency and financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Senior SEC Reporting Analyst will lead the preparation of SEC quarterly and annual reports (10-Q, 10-K), ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and validate financial data for reporting purposes
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections of SEC filings
- Research and interpret accounting guidance and regulations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Coordinate and manage the review process with internal stakeholders and external auditors
- As a Senior SEC Reporting Analyst, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline reporting processes and enhance accuracy
- Stay updated on changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards, implementing necessary adjustments
- Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial reports for executive management and other stakeholders
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the reporting team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation (or CPA track) is required
- 2+ years of experience in SEC reporting, with a solid understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with XBRL tagging is a plus
- Prior experience with external auditors is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
