Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in food service and possess excellent leadership skills to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently. This job provides salary pay plus an additional 15% of the serving staff's daily tips while on-shift. Our full-bar and restaurant are open every day of the year.
Responsibilities:
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Oversee inventory and order of supplies weekly
- Maintain standard operating procedures for quality food preparation and consistent presentation
- Ensure restaurant profitability
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and cohesion with the serving staff
- Create schedules for the kitchen staff
- Collaborate with management to create menus and specials weekly
Experience:
- Proven experience in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in kitchen management is a plus
