Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Promptly greet members by last name, as they are seated and bring water, bread, and butter to the table.
Utilize only acceptable club language as prescribed in standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of table, position, and station numbers.
Maintain complete knowledge of all food menu items and prices with ability to answer questions regarding any.
Maintain complete knowledge of all beverage offerings and prices including spirits, specialty cocktails, wines by the glass, beer and non-alcoholic options ie: mocktails, soft drinks and specialty coffee drinks.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with state alcohol service regulations.
Maintain a complete knowledge of all club F&B offerings, to include all menus for each venue (including halfway house), special events, holiday events, offsite events at Racquets Chalet or golf outings, etc.
Stock service stations according to side job descriptions.
Clear table of all used china, glass, and silver between courses, cleaning and/or crumbing the table as needed.
Between seating’s promptly clean & sanitize tabletops, chairs and any table wares ie: lamps, flower vases, salt & pepper shakers, sanitizer bottles, etc. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop accordingly.
Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed.
Communicate with server and manager to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
Thank guests as they are leaving.
Maintain clean service areas.
Maintain additional dining area supplies and equipment ie: hand sanitizer bottles, heaters, mise en place trays and plates, condiments, etc.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the dining room manager or immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant/customer service experience not required, but a plus.
Have working knowledge of the predominant language (English) of our members.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
Have a positive and upbeat personality.
Must be an energetic team player.
