Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at WCDL in Hawthorne, CA for a full time General Manager.
The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
- Maintain open and continual communication with the V.P. of Operations, the assigned lab leadership team, and DADL regarding all operations of the laboratories, including but not limited to all business related events and situations that are occurring within the market and industry that potentially could affect the operations of the business.
- Provide continual leadership and guidance to the management team for assigned laboratories, cross-dock operations, customer service, and technical communications ensuring all activities are in compliance with the structure and culture of the organization as well as state laws and regulations.
- Ensure all administration, production, communication and sales activities of WCDL; including but not limited to, customer service, planning/strategizing, budgeting, cost control, waste reduction, state and federal compliance, marketing, hiring, firing, discipline, reviews, production distribution and workflow, and product quality receive the very best product that fulfills their needs and retains their business.
- Ensure the logistics of the manufacturing processes are effective and proficient.
- Ensure frequent communications are occurring at all levels within the laboratories. Weekly developmental meetings with direct reports, no fewer than bi-weekly departmental meetings and leadership team meetings.
- Ensure regular visits and interactions with each assigned laboratory to make certain there is continuous awareness of the state of the laboratories.
- Project management
- Review monthly financial results against plan and provide senior leadership with insight, trends, and highlights.
- Drive and lead key financial processes such as budgets, financial forecasts, capital expenditure evaluations, cost improvement and business process changes.
- Evaluate profitability of each laboratory and determine best steps for improvement, making appropriate adjustments to the operation as needed.
- Perform monthly financial statement review with laboratory management, addressing performance to budget. Provide senior leadership with insight, trends and highlights.
- Be a lab’s primary advocate for processes and systems that will attain greater efficiency and effectiveness of operations and consistent, on-time final product to the customer.
- Ensure each laboratory is adhering to established protocol and policies required to provide month-end, quarter-end, annual closing information in a timely manner.
- Ensure the conduct and communication and between all team members at each laboratory is respectful and appropriate within the work environment and laboratory expectations.
- Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees
- Partner with Marketing to develop and deploy effective marketing campaigns for the WCDL brands.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Five years experience managing or supervising production/manufacturing team members.
- Minimum ten (10) years experience in operational management, B.S., B.A. or MBA preferred
- Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in the dental lab industry and/or experience in the Medical Device Industry
- High School Diploma Required
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Up to 30% travel required
