Position Overview
The Director Total Rewards will be responsible for leading company’s compensation, benefits, and health and welfare programs. This role supports and works closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that our compensation and benefit programs align with company objectives and strategies. You’ll work to create policies and procedures that help achieve competitive compensation and benefits strategies globally, while shaping and leading reward strategies designed to attract, retain, engage, and motivate our employees. This role will be a key member of the HR leadership team and will contribute to projects and results across the HR function.
This position reports to the Vice President of Total Rewards and will manage a small team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Direct the Total Rewards team by offering guidance and leadership, mentoring team members, managing performance, fostering professional development, facilitating projects, and identifying solutions.
- Provides strategic direction and goals for the Total Rewards team based on business priorities, strategic planning, and compliance.
- Provides expertise and analysis for employee and executive compensation, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting market analysis, identifying opportunities and developing recommendations for the business.
- Oversee administration of company benefit plans, including ongoing communication to employees, open enrollment, plan documentation, audits, annual filings, billing reports and reconciliation.
- Lead initiatives related to benefits design and administration, including the continual evaluation of the effectiveness of benefit programs, practices, and procedures in relation to the strategic objectives and recommend new benefits.
- Lead the design and administration of compensation programs including executive compensation, base pay, variable pay, merit, compensation planning, and market analysis with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Inspire change management, process improvement, communications and engagement initiatives to ensure our colleagues and leaders understand our compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.
- Oversee participation in annual salary and budget surveys, prepare and review action plans based on survey results and market movement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes and support in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compensation and benefits offerings remain competitive and compliant with federal and state laws.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Finance, or related field required.
- Bachelor’s degree required with preference of Human Resources, Business Management or related field; or equivalent work experience and background.
- Advanced knowledge of compensation, benefits, and design.
- Comprehensive experience in human resources with experience building best-in-class global programs in complex, international environments requiring strong alignment with multiple internal partners.
- Working knowledge of government regulations that apply to compensation, benefits and familiarity with compliance requirements
- Demonstrated strength in providing leadership to a talented and professional team of individuals, including skills and career growth.
- Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Global Remuneration Professional or CEBS designation preferred.
- Experience with MarketPay preferred.
- Experience with HRIS, e*trade, and Empower a plus.
