Senior Business Analyst – Document Compliance Support
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Business Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will provide high level support to their Technology Work Planning and Delivery team by managing documentation and tracking project documentation. Pay Range: $50.00 – 60.00, HR
Location: Vancouver, Washington – HYBRID – 1-day per week onsite
Key Responsibilities for Senior Business Analyst:
- Collaborate to determine security levels and mark documents appropriately.
- Maintain and link project document lists.
- Coordinate project bundles and liaise with technology stakeholders.
- Address document status, readiness, and file organization.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and maintain records for audits.
- Proactively resolve resource constraints and recommend solutions.
- Gather application requirements through interviews and workshops.
- Research and organize information for requirement development.
- Validate requirements, identify gaps, and resolve conflicts.
- Document processes and designs.
- Define and execute business analysis approaches.
- Facilitate design sessions and stakeholder meetings.
- Assist in process improvements and data automation.
- Prepare and transfer documentation to IT teams.
- Draft manuals and create reports.
- Communicate updates and support project management.
- Develop change management plans and reduce employee resistance.
- Facilitate system testing and data integration.
- Provide technical support and improve user documentation.
- Analyze and improve solutions for efficiency.
- Develop documentation for compliance and milestone updates.
Requirements for Senior Business Analyst:
- A degree in business administration, information management, business systems, computer science or closely related technical field is preferred.
- With an applicable bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience is required
- With an applicable associate degree, 10+ years of experience is required
- Without an applicable degree, 12+ years of experience is required
- Experience should include demonstrate business systems analysis progressively more technical in nature
- Ability to read, understand, and apply complex Information Protection document marking policies and procedures. (such as federal document marking requirements).
- Advanced knowledge of Visio and/or other flowchart tools sufficient to create complex processes, workflow, hierarchal, and swim lane documentation.
- Expert proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Expert proficiency in writing technical reports.
- Experience using SharePoint, sufficient to manage documents, develop content, create lists, links, and libraries, assist with site and/or folder permissions, etc.
- Proficient in the use of ProjectWise and Procore is preferred.
- Experience documenting processes.
- Knowledge and experience with federal government Information Protection policies and procedures such as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and the CUI Marking Guide is preferred.
- Experience in utilizing a requirements management tool is preferred.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
